Car Parking
7) So, we arrive at Prague by car, where do we park then? Can we park at the city center at all?
Since 2005 are all direct city center districts in Prague (e.g. Prague 1, Prague 2, Prague 3) divided into different parking zones. It is almost impossible to park a car without paying fees for it - or risking towing it away.

Only Prague residents in a specific Prague district (e.g. Prague 1) and companies being registered at these districts are allowed to buy a residential parking card.

Unfortunatelly, Prague City Hall staff does not use common sense much too, so there are very few paid parking zones at Prague streets + even as a resident you are not allowed to park outside the district you paid for (e.g. residental parking pass in Prague 1 does not allow its holder to park in Prague 2 disctrict). Insane but true.
Please check our Prague map, zoom in at the area your preferred apartments are and look for a light blue parking icon (like ). This is most likely the closest secure car parking available and the apartment managers will guide you there. Average rate for one car per nigh is about 650 - 800 CZK.

Some places in Prague 2 + Prague 3 disctrict allows to park on a streets for free during weekends (e.g. since Friday 18:00 till Monday 08:00) - but only at the paid parking zones. It is wise to pay for your Monday stay on previous Friday's night, so you have both: free stay during weekend and secured place for Monday.
